There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread, but there are many more dying for a little love. We can do no great things, only small things with great love. Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you. If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something

Mahila-Utthan-Samiti_PresidentMahila Utthan Samiti was established in the year 1980 by a handful of people who had in themselves the urge to do something for the welfare of underprivileged and the underdeveloped sections of our society with special emphasis on women and children. The thinkers behind this endeavor were Mrs. Rekha Rajput, Mr. V.K. Masaun and Dr. Som Prakash Jain.

Mahila Utthan Samiti was registered as a Non Government Organizaion (NGO) under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, in the year 1994. In its early days the Samiti was basically involved in making plan of action for educating the poor and destitute women and children, making women economically independent and generating awareness about various social issues among the masses. With time, there was an expansion both in terms of its activities and structure.

It is not possible for the Government or other donor agencies to finance all the activities relating to development and welfare of the needy and distressed sections of the society and especially women. Organizations like ours are also very much dependant on individual donations by the persons who thinks welfare of such people is the service to God and mankind.

Mahila Utthan Samiti is a reputed organization in Delhi and hence asks for voluntary donations to this noble cause.
